Home Depot Project Updates
Designer Billing The completion form submitted for each store serves as a bill for services. In order for us to properly pay each designer, completion forms must be accurate, legible and complete. Any omitted trees should be noted on the form by a manager, otherwise the store will not be considered complete.
Completion forms may be submitted in the following ways.
• fax to 615.270.0561
• email to forms@williamscreativegroup.net
• text a clear photo to 615.270.0561 or forms@williamscreativegroup.net
Complete, signed, legible and clear forms received by midnight Sunday will be processed for payment the following week.
Billing questions can be addressed here.
Safety Never step on cotton snow. If snow is present, a designer should remove it before shaping begins and return it after shaping is complete. If trees are unsafe to reach, a designer should STOP IMMEDIATELY and speak with a manager to find a safe solution.
A designer must NEVER step on stickers (2x6 boards).
Tips & Tricks Some Home Depot stores may set up more trees than expected. Shaping all the trees displayed is the only way to achieve a consistent look. A store’s expected number of trees are listed on the store list, however designers are compensated for all trees shaped. Designers should clearly document on the completion form any and all trees shaped. The ultimate goal is for the Home Depot MET Team to assemble all of the trees required for the specific store. If a store will not, cannot, or refuses to pull and set up any missing trees, a manager must write their refusal or inability to set those specific trees in the Manager’s Comments section on the completion form.
Contracted designers are responsible to ensure all trees have working lights. However, if lighting issues cannot be quickly and expeditiously resolved, issues should be discussed with a Home Depot manager. The goal is for the designer to spend 90 percent of time and energy in a store shaping.
Although it is important to have the store manager satisfied with the finished product, it is ultimately the job of the contracted designer to perform outstanding service, including touching every tip of every branch to be considered complete. The store manager signs the completion from after the quality of the work is inspected. Corporate representatives from Home Depot will visit stores to verify the quality of the finished display. If there is any question of the design quality, Home Depot has the right to ask the designer to return to the store to reshape the trees without any additional compensation.
After project completion, designers are welcomed and encouraged to send photos via text to 615.270.0561 or email to forms@williamscreativegroup.net. Photos might be displayed in our Gallery of Trees.
Outstanding Quality Service – Bonus Cash When you go the extra mile, we want to reward you! Every season we hear positive feedback about the top quality tree shaping and exceptional service our contracted designers provide. Each time we hear accolades from the Corporate Quality Control Team, the designer is entered into a weekly drawing for a chance to win $50 cash.
Contest Guidelines The Corporate Quality Control Team consists of Home Depot & BJ’s Wholesale corporate representatives, Merchandise Execution Managers, tree vendors, and Williams Creative Group, Inc. office staff. Store Managers and other store personnel are not a part of this review team. The name of the designer is automatically entered into the weekly drawing when a positive report is received. All feedback is verified.
A designer may have multiple entries in any weekly drawing.
All names entered will remain eligible throughout the season.
Winners will be notified via email and subsequently posted on the website.
A single designer may be eligible to win a maximum of two (2) times during the season. No designer will receive more than one (1) prize in the same week.
Multiple winners will be drawn weekly. The number of winners may vary.
Designers may not solicit a quality service entry from any Home Depot or BJ’s Wholesale employee, manager or MET Team member.
Please do not contact us about your status.
W-9 All contracted designers are required to submit a W-9. Name changes require an updated form.
